Things I Love About You

Sixteen years is half our lives. A Little over half, actually. And in those 16 years, I had times where I couldn't find what I loved about you. I knew I loved you, but didn't know why. Now I do. Here are a few reasons why I love you.

1. You love God. Even with all your questions, you just keep digging because of your desire to know Him.

2. You work hard. You just do. And you don't really complain. And you let me stay home with the girls without complaining (most of the time).

3. You love babies. It's the sweetest. You are the first one to reach out your arms when a baby is near. You want to talk to them and cuddle them and hold them forever.

On that same note, anytime a dog walks by, you get that same excited look in your eye. 😅

4. You are festive. If it isn't pumpkin spice or special holiday recipes, it's Christmas lights or  Costumes. I know I have complained about the cost in the past, but I really do admire this about you, and I never want you to stop.

5.  You are funny. Even if it isn't always amusing. You are the first to crack a joke with the teens when they come over. And always the one at church to throw out something way left field.

6. You love me. Like truly love me. If I'm stressed, you clean the kitchen. If I want something, you say, "Get it." Although, I never do. But I can see it in your eyes you just want to make me happy and love me right.

7. You love cooking. Your cooking is top of the line. I never have to go out to eat again. It's filled with so much passion, and everybody else enjoys it too. You cant even make hotdogs without making them gourmet style. Sometimes you even clean it up. 😳

8. You love adventure. From exploring small town to kayaking to trying new restaurants,

9. Last, but not least-and definitely not in any particular order, you are generous. You give and give and give. You help friends when they need it. The day I called you and said, "Can these two girls we have never met before move into our house even though I just told you 24 hours ago I am going crazy with two kids?" You said, "Do what you have to do." You gave me such a gift that day. You will never know. You healed my heart in so many ways and added two of the most precious gifts to my life.

Sixteen years, and I feel like we have grown together rather than apart. I'm so thankful for you and for our marriage. Praying for the next 16 years to be even better.
